A and P - what does that stand for?
Tomorrow we are going the the annual A and P Show in Christchurch
What does A and P stand for?
Your challenge...
Find the web site and... (how am I going to do that?)
To help you plan ahead for a fun day investigate what attractions are on tomorrow at the A and P show.
You don't want to miss out on something that you'd like to see.
Look under visitor information
Look for a map of the show grounds - in your journal draw 5 or 6 things that you'd like to see or do
Find a link to the official guide and discover all the things that are on. Remember to look at the times and dates of each event - make a note in your journal of the ones you want to see and the time they are on. Check on the map so that you know where different events are happening.

Today we came to school in our pyjamas, had a shared lunch and watched a movie based on a book we have just finished reading in class.
The book is called "Holes" by Louis Sachar and it is really interesting. There are lots of different stories that weave together to keep you guessing about how they all link up in the end. This book is highly recommended by Room 4

Dear Room 4
Today I am working with the other Middle School Teachers on some ideas for next term.
Mrs. Gallagher will be teaching in Room 4 today.
You all have different things to work on and finish off. I will list these below so that you can organise your time with Mrs. Gallagher and take turns using the computers for your research and Google Classroom Tasks.
I will be at school, so I will probably see you sometime.

Find out facts and contribute your notes to make a mini book - A6 paper size - you know what to do.

What are animal adaptations for?
How do these features help the animal?
Find out about an interesting animal adaptation and the benefit that the animal gets from this?
Make a mini book page to share with the class
Try one of these web searches and look at web pages and Google images.
NB. (note well) some of the images you find might not be TRUE / REAL!

ANZAC Day
This week we have been learning about the meaning of ANZAC Day by reading stories about New Zealand and Australian soldiers in the first world war. After reading one story about ANZAC biscuits Tim said, "I think we should make them." We organised some groups and everyone brought ingredients for making biscuits on Friday. Good idea Tim.
We have also started to do some writing about war experiences based on our thinking about some war photographs. We will publish these next week.

On Thursday we all took part in an ANZAC Remembrance Ceremony and two New Zealand Soldiers came from Burnham Army Camp.
Biscuit Day
On Friday we made ANZAC biscuits and then shared them with people at school. They were very tasty. Below are some pictures from our cooking and the ANZAC Ceremony.
