Working Independently

Dear Room 4
Remember I am not in class today.  This is your chance to show your independence and great cooperative learning skills.  Read through the list of tasks below and work cooperatively to finish off tasks and start new ones.

Remember:

  • You will need to take turns with the computers and help each other out
  • You will need to choose things that you need to finish
  • You will need to work on tasks that don't need a computer - waiting for your turn

Things to Finish - (do something from this list first)
Complete an illustration for each of these topic words in your journal.
Your word illustration should clearly say what the word means or what it is
Include some details or examples with words and pictures.
WORDS:
carnivore, herbivore, omnivore, predator, prey, hibernate, metamorphosis, habitat, photosynthesis, camouflage  +++ nocturnal, venom, prehistoric, microscopic

Finish your A3 tessellation

Work on your pastel and black paint art etching

Finish your Google Classroom task - show it to a buddy and use the Criteria Sheet to decide how well you have done.  (Don't worry if you can't turn it in I can still look at them)

New Topic Research
Investigate some of the ideas listed below by watching some short youtube videos.  Make some notes (words and pictures) of the main ideas, new discoveries or questions that pop into your head.

Search Starters and keywords to try:
life cycle of... bee, spider, fly, frog, butterfly, dragonfly, cicada

camouflage... insects, reptiles, predators, octopus, carnivores, chameleon

 Olympic animals... jumping, fastest, strongest,

Animal Records...

Animal Super senses... hearing, sight, poison, electric, phosphorescent

--------------------------
If you think you can choose to just watch videos straight away - think again.

Have a great day:-)
